Sign Language Day 11 (Distance Learning)

Today was my favorite we have had so far. I really enjoyed learning about sign language and how deaf people live. It was fascinating reading about how children went to school when they were deaf in the 1900s. I will definitely keep practicing my signing it was very fun. I learnt how to say my full name, introduce myself, please, thank you, mum, a few colors and nearly know the whole alphabet.

Flight Day 10 (Distance Learning)

Today I made 2 gliders out of house hold items and 2 paper airplanes. The gliders were not that successful but the paper airplanes were. I enjoyed creating the paper airplanes because they were technical and flew really well.

Maori Day 7 (distance learning)

Today we learnt about the maori culture. I really enjoyed creating my pepha and weaving.
I am so proud of my poem too. I spent a lot of time coming up with a rhyming word for chimney!
I am going to keep practicing my pronunciation and my pepeha.

Day 6 Move it (Distance Learning)

Today was about dancing I enjoyed this topic since I do Hip Hop, I found difficult to come up with a dance because I couldn't find  a song I liked and was upbeat. So I just decided to go with a slow song. I think I should've put more dance moves into my dance because there is quite a few pauses.

Music Day 5 (Distance Learning)

Today we worked on music. This was new for me but I enjoyed creating beats. My favorite part was creating my typatone, it was a new experience and i liked playing around with the sounds.

Day 4 Family (Distance Learning)

Today our focus was about family I really enjoyed the maths tasks today it was so fascinating measuring each other with a spoon. I also enjoyed speaking to my family about what there favourite fruit was.

Day 3 Resilience (Distance Learning)

Today was all about resilience. I  really enjoyed interviewing my mum for one of the tasks I learn't so much. I also liked the maths tasks we were given.

Day 2 Chocolate

Today our Topic was Chocolate I learnt so much about how chocolate is made and where it comes from. My favorite activity was creating my own chocolate and box.

Sugar Day 1

Today was the first day of distance learning our topic was Sugar. I learnt a lot about sugar and what it does to our bodies, my favorite activity was creating the poster because I got to be creative and there was less structure.  I was surprised to learn how much teaspoons of sugar was in each food item and drink. Now before I eat something I will try work out how many teaspoons of sugar there is.
