My lockdown experience started by me feeling quite anxious and nervous. I was a worried about what was going to happen. I didn't like the thought of staying home all the time and not seeing my friends and family. I didn't like all the uncertainty, not knowing what was happening in the world outside my bubble. That's why I watched the news every night, to find out what was going on. As the weeks drew on I began to get less worried as we got given more guidelines on what our next step was.
Myself
During this pandemic I learnt a lot about myself over the past few months, since I had so much time to think. My family and I have learnt that we should be more positive and stop worrying so much. I also learnt that I get bored much easier than I thought I did. I learnt that I enjoy homemade meals much better than takeaways too.
Family
I have learnt that I missed playing with my cousins and aunty, walking my grandparents dog (Gemma) and my grandparents of course. I learnt that I should value my time with them more. I think that this time has given my family a break from working so hard, since none of them are essentials workers right now.
Community
I noticed that a lot of people in my neighbourhood have been walking the streets at least once a day. The foot path is a traffic jam most days. I enjoyed waking up and hearing the birds sing replacing people.
NZ
I have learnt to trust our country to follow important rules and respect our leader and all her hard work much more, I can't imagine how much work she does for our country. My family and I went to the beach during level 3. We saw so much more wildlife than usual including an enormous amount of fish and starfish.
Travel
I learnt that riding my bike is an activity I enjoy more than I thought. Going out into fresh air and riding around my street with my brother. I also learnt that a virus can spread very quickly through transport such as air planes and public transport such as buses and trains.
Hi Keeva,
ReplyDeleteI really liked your lockdown reflection, I think you did a great job describing what you did and saw. Next time try to add more commas to have short breaks.
Awesome work!
Abby.
Thanks for the feedback!:)
DeleteI definetly will try to add more commas.
