Pahurehure Inlet LCS Project

 Here is our Pahurehure inlet project. We have been learning about inlets for our inquiry this term. I enjoyed going on the trip and learning the differences between inlets and estuary's. We added labels for each of our clay birds. I learnt lots more information this term so now when I walk around the inlet now I can identify more species of living things. I also understand more about the tide cycles.

This is my Craft market item poster. I am making reusable bags, there is two sizes (big and small). I made this poster on canva. I chose to use leaves as decorations because they are environmentally friendly bags.

Paddock to Plate Week 2 ODL

This week I really enjoyed learning further about where my food comes from. It has encouraged me and my family to grow more of our own produce. My favourite part was the persuasive writing and create tasks. 

My Little Shop (ODL) Term 3 Week 1

This week our theme was "My little shop" I enjoyed this theme because it was fun creating logos and having a small shopping experience. My favourite part was writing a persuasive peice. I liked the range  of texts and different NL from the clinic videos. I thought that the "create choice board" was a very good idea.

My Truffula Tree Cutter

This is my Truffula Tree cutter. It is environmentally friendly because to water the trees it collects rain water and it runs on solar panels. It also has a seed dropper to plant new trees. It only grabs enough fluff from each tree to make one thneed at a time.

Popcorn Box

This week are learning about the process on how popcorn iis made. Today we made popcorn and made packaging for our own popcorn company. 

Japanese Mask Draft

This is my Japanese mask, I wrote my name in japanese. They don't have V's so I just wrote it as "Kiwa". I added Japanese cherry blossoms along the hair line.

Robots (LCS Friday)

Today our topic was Robots I had a lot of fun creating my robots character.

What I learn't about Erik the Red with Mrs P

We have been learning about Erik the Red and Vikings with Mrs P. I really enjoyed it. My favourite part was making the porridge. Although I liked everything.

LCS Ancient Egyptians Paper Pyramid

This is my Pyramid of society.

As you can see the Pharaohs are at the top and the Slaves are at the bottom.

The People at the top were treated the best. But as the list goes down  people get treated worse.

Day 19 Natural Disasters (distance learning)

Today we learnt about Natural disasters. I learnt how different types of severe weather forms and how to stay safe in a natural disaster. I really enjoyed writing about lightning. I enjoyed making the word search and playing the games. 

Day 18 Around the World

Today we learnt about the different countries of the world. Unfortunately I couldn't complete one of the tasks because my family didn't know how our ancestors came to nz. My favourite task was exploring the atlas, because I learnt about a country (mongolia) that I had never knew any thing about.

Day 17 Science (distance learning)

Today I tried something new rosehip tea. I didn't like it but I am glad I tried it. I really enjoyed the writing it was something I haven't done before I hope I do that again I got alot of inspiration.

Day 16 Sports (distance learning)

Today was full of fun activities . I really enjoyed creating my logo and slogan for my sport team.
My team uniform and logo are white, yellow and blue because they are some of my favourite colours. I liked reading how to fall as well.

Day 14 Food (Distance Learning)

Today was about food. My favorite part was making the pizza, my family really enjoyed for lunch.
I also liked reading about different foods from different countrys and cultures.

Day 12 Art and Design

Today I really enjoyed the create tasks. Especially the last one, I really enjoyed hunting around the house for things to use. I learnt about symmetry and now I know that something that is not symmetrical is called asymmetrical.

Sign Language Day 11 (Distance Learning)

Today was my favorite we have had so far. I really enjoyed learning about sign language and how deaf people live. It was fascinating reading about how children went to school when they were deaf in the 1900s. I will definitely keep practicing my signing it was very fun. I learnt how to say my full name, introduce myself, please, thank you, mum, a few colors and nearly know the whole alphabet.

Flight Day 10 (Distance Learning)

Today I made 2 gliders out of house hold items and 2 paper airplanes. The gliders were not that successful but the paper airplanes were. I enjoyed creating the paper airplanes because they were technical and flew really well.
