Maths Week 7 Term 4

This week we learnt about exponents. I found this quite difficult because I had never learnt about them before. I enjoyed drawing the symmetrical picture.

Reading week 7 term 2

This week we learnt about Ta moko tattoos. I enjoyed reading about the ta mokos. Especially the stories on how and why people got their Ta mokos.

What do I see?

What do I see? I see the first ray of sunlight as the sky transforms into an assortment of colors. I see clouds drift off into the distance, like a butterfly taking flight.

What do I see? I see a rocky volcano, rumbling like a starving stomach. I see smoke flood the sky like a balloon filling with air.

What do I see? I see a murky green acid lake. I see burning hot steam breathing out of the boiling water.

What do I see? I see an outstretched wharf as long as can be. I see seagulls staring into the sea patiently waiting for there next feed.

What do I see? I see churning waves washing against the shore. I see a skyscraping lighthouse shining as bright as a star.

What do I see? I see a rushing school of fish zooming through the flaming red coral. I see the pohutukawa forest surounding me.

This is my Pyramid of society.

As you can see the Pharaohs are at the top and the Slaves are at the bottom.

The People at the top were treated the best. But as the list goes down  people get treated worse.
